Principal's Message 10/30/25

Our Christmas Play is entitled "Hotel Bethlehem" this year!  Students have been practicing dances, songs, and lines for 2 weeks now!

ALL STUDENTS IN GRADES 2nd- 8th ARE TO ATTEND THE PLAY on DECEMBER 7th.  Only under special circumstances are students allowed to miss the play.  Students are working 2-3 hours a week on their parts, and we have many volunteers stepping up to make the play possible.  If one student misses the play in a grade level, it paves the way for others to miss.
*This also applies to our PK, K, and 1st Grade Program on DECEMBER 10th.

The play is a JPII Christmas Tradition that brings all of our Catholic Social Teachings to life, including Solidarity, Call to Family, Community and Participation, and Rights and Responsibilities.

All students are invited to wear FALL colors with Jeans on FRIDAY, 10/31.  No costumes, no scary attire.

Remember that DOOR A (Front Door) is the only open door from 7:30-7:35
Parents, you have done wonderfully with this change! Very few students have arrived this week past 7:32!  Great work!

Cafeteria Door: 6:55-7:25
Door C 7:25-7:30
Door A 7:30-7:35
PK3 and PK4 students only are allowed to enter Door E (Playground) 6:55-7:35

Please review this statement from our handbook on attendance and tardiness:
Students will be allowed 5 unexcused absences for the school year without a doctor’s excuse (with diagnosis). A student who has been to the doctor, dentist, or health department must present a medical statement to the school
within 3 days of the absence. This applies to absences, tardies, or early dismissals. Without a medical statement, these tardies and early dismissals are unexcused. Beginning with the 6th unexcused absence, the student is considered truant.

Adoration on FRIDAY MORNINGS for Grades 4-8

Rather than being dropped off in the cafeteria, students wanting to participate in adoration before school can be dropped off at the church beginning at 6:55 until 7:25, when we will head to class!
Get your "FaceTime" with Jesus on Fridays!

Building Information:

2.  We are working to install a gate on the far side of the basketball playground outside.  Quote amount: $2,024.

3.  We are aware of the exterior lights that are not lit.  We have been in contact with Timmons Electric, but no repair or quote has been done.  UPDATE: We have contacted J. Steward to determine the cost and repairs. UPDATE #2: Quote for repairs total: $5,148.78.  Money will be drawn from the Guardian Angel Fund to fund repairs.

5.  The water bottle filler was turned on in the Elementary wing.  A splitter was required to plug in the unit.  It works; however, the compressor on the water fountain is not working.  Elite Plumbing gave a new water fountain quote for $1,920
